We crossed the border between Western Australia and south Australia yesterday a few mins after pushing off from Eucla. Felt a sense of achievement as we passed the quarantine checkpoint (WA side). Quite true to the name- nullabor. "null" and "abor" - latin for - "no trees". scrub , bushes and grass mostly. By 4pm we had reached the SA quarantine checkpoint Ceduna. We declared our carrot sticks , a stem cutting of some plant which Geraldine cherishes (no soil) and some garlic..only the carrot sticks got through the inspection. The rest were confiscated. Sorry Gerry.
